The Day

Positives

1.  Good first day for Coach Choate.  I do purple visor.  Practicing under the lights got my shit hot.  I was jealous of the wide recievers when they were shagging deep balls.  I was not jealous when they were running 50-yard sprints at the end of practice with the “extra 4 sprints if the kicker misses the extra-point” clause. 

2. Friday’s practice is from 4-7 instead of 6-9.  In reality, it’s not a practice, but a pool party.  The players don’t know this.  I can’t imagine how pumped I would be if I thought I had to practice and got to not practice instead. 

Negatives

1. I don’t know the playbook.  It’s embarrassing when the players say “What do I do on this play, Coach?” and I go “uhh…” as I frantically flip through my playbook. 

2. Final grades for summer classes were supposed to be posted at noon today.  I checked at noon… no grades.  I checked at 1:00… no grades.  I just checked… no grades.  What the fuck?  Cholde the Academic is not happy.
