Positives
1. Good time at Mt. Eagle. Jed does it up right, except for the occasional “put God first” in his public address. Good event though.
2. I’ve got football practice from 5:15-9:15 every night this week and band practice on Saturday afternoon. Actually that sounds like a negative, but my mornings and afternoons are wide open. That’s the positive.
Negatives
1. I’m a strong candidate for lyme disease. I was at Mt. Eagle for 29 hours and spent most of them with at least one tick feeding on my shit. At one point I looked down and there were three ticks crawling on my shoe and one on my ankle. Following our afternoon hike, I stripped to the nudie and found seven more. Last night, at Goshen, I pulled two more off of my ankle; yet another was dealt with after I got home from church this morning. That was the final straw. I needed a count. Once again, I went nudie in front of the mirror to see how many bites I had recieved (it should be noted that I didn’t see one mosquito at Mt. Eagle). The final tally was 43. 43 tick bites. Negateeve. I need the Calamine.
